Un homme habitant à Montagne Blanche est décédé le 17 mai 2012 des suites d’une électrocution qui est survenu le 24 février 2012 quand des barres de fer qu’il manipulait a touché des fils électriques de la Central Electricity Board.
On 17.05.12 at 1845 hrs, Mr Deepak Bhagheerathy, 35 yrs, residing at Mt Blanche who since 24.02.12 was admitted in ICU of PMOC has passed away. Latter had received an electric shock while he was manipulating iron bars, which came into contact with CEB High Voltage Lines. Victim was on a site of construction on the roof of MR at Montagne Blanche. Autopsy will be carried out today 18.05.2012.

1. Line Barracks Police – Larceny on public road
On 17.05.2012 at 1815 hrs, Mrs G, 73 yrs, residing at Coromandel, reported that earlier at about 1400 hrs, she was walking alone along NTR, Port Louis proceeding towards Victoria Square. Reaching near Rogers House, an unknown man accosted her and proposed to carry her bag. Upon her refusal, latter pushed her, snatched her gold chain worth about Rs 40,000/- and bolted. She was injured and attended treatment at Dr Jeetoo Hospital.
2. Pailles Police – Larceny
On 17.05.2012 at 1930 hrs, Mr J, 43 yrs, self-employed, residing at Ste Croix reported that between 03.05.2012 and 17.05.2012, two solar panels and an electronic card, worth about Rs 100,000/- which were fixed on the upper part of the solar panel billboard situated along NTR Soreze have been stolen.

3. OB 291/2012 Montagne Blanche Police – Fatal injury

4. Phoenix Police – Larceny breaking
On 17.05.2012 at 1105 hrs, Miss R, 29 yrs, student, residing at Camp Fouquereaux reported that on 16.05.2012 during her absence between noon and 2130 hrs, her house was broken into. Local and foreign currencies, amounting to Rs 50,000/- which were kept in a bedroom have been stolen.

5. Port Mathurin Police – Cultivating Cannabis
On 17.05.2012 at 0835 hrs, following certain information ADSU Rodrigues, uprooted two cannabis plants ranging from 5 cm to 10 cm from a state land at Montagne Malgache. Cultivator/s unknown.

6. Terre Rouge Police – Damaging Motor Vehicles
On 17.05.2012 between 1815 hrs to 1845 hrs, the drivers of
(i) P/car of Mr L, 50 yrs, of Vacoas (ii) P/car of Mr J, 29 yrs of Pamplemousses and (iii) P/car of Mr N, 49 yrs of Camp Levieux
reported that whilst they were motoring towards Port Louis along NTR, Terre Rouge near Bois Marchand fly-over, stones were flung towards their vehicles which got damaged.
