Un kalimaye situé à Highlands a connu la visite de voleur car un laboureur agé de 47 ans a rapporté le vol d’un amplificateur et un microphone d’une valeur de Rs 5,000.00.

On 21.05.2012 at 1445 hrs, Mr. S, 47 yrs, Labourer, residing at Belle Terre, Highlands reported that between 20.05.12 and 21.05.12, an amplifier and a microphone, all worth about Rs. 5,000/- have been stolen from a Kalimaye situated at Highlands by breaking its door’s padlock.

Northern Division
1. Triolet Police – Larceny
On 21.05.2012 at 1925 hrs, Mr. H, 62 yrs, Pensioner, residing at Royal Road, Triolet reported that on same day between 0630 hrs and 1330 hrs, four mobile phones, two digital cameras and jewels have been stolen from his house. Value stolen unknown. No breaking.

2. Riviere du Rempart Police – Suicide
On 22.05.2012 at 0210 hrs, Mr. G. 69 yrs, residing at Riviere du Rempart, who, on the eve, absorbed a certain quantity of herbicide known as ‘2-4-2’ at his place, has passed away at SSRN Hospital. Autopsy will be carried out today, 22.05.2012.

Metro (North) Division
3. Fanfaron Police – Supposed Proceeds of Larceny &Possession of Cannabis
On 21.05.2012 at 1115 hrs, whilst police officers of Fanfaron Police were on foot patrol along Jummah Mosque Street, Port Louis they stopped and searched one A, 31 yrs, painter residing at Camp Diable who was looking suspicious. A portable DVD player which he could not account for and some cannabis leaves were secured from his bag. He is detained. Suspect is not borne on record.

4. Fanfaron Police – Larceny with Violence
On 21.05.2012 at 1930 hrs, Mr. P, 20 yrs, student, residing at Tagore Road, St Julien reported that on same day at about 1645 hrs, he was sitting under the bus shelter at Immigration Square when two men and a woman accosted him. Thereupon, they stole his gold chain and mobile phone and bolted. Value stolen unknown. He was not injured.

Eastern Division
5. Brisée Verdiere Police – Larceny with aggravating circumstances
On 21.05.2012 at 1345 hrs, Mrs. S, 38 yrs, residing at Royal Road Grande Retraite and owner of S Supermarket annexed to her house, reported that earlier at about 1230 hrs, she was alone and closing the main door of the aforesaid supermarket when an unknown hooded man, armed with a sabre rushed on her. Thereupon, latter snatched her handbag containing sum of Rs. 30,000/, several prepaid phone cards and three mobile phones and bolted. Value stolen about Rs. 68,000/-. Declarant was slightly injured and attended treatment at Flacq Hospital.

On same day, (i) J, 27 yrs, (ii) L, 19 yrs and (iii) K, 18 yrs, all residing at Bois d’Oiseaux were brought at Flacq CID for enquiry.

Central Division
6. Phoenix Police – Larceny (Place of Worship)
On 21.05.2012 at 1445 hrs, Mr. S, 47 yrs, Labourer, residing at Belle Terre, Highlands reported that between 20.05.12 and 21.05.12, an amplifier and a microphone, all worth about Rs. 5,000/- have been stolen from a Kalimaye situated at Highlands by breaking its door’s padlock.

Southern Division
7. Blue Bay Police – Larceny
On 21.05.2012 at 1540 hrs, Mr. P, 62 yrs, Pensioner, residing at, Blue Bay reported that between 18.05.2012 and 21.05.2012, sum of Rs. 15,000/ and €2600 have been stolen from his bedroom’s safe. Value stolen about Rs. 112,000/-. No breaking. He suspects his three maids. Case has been referred to Mahebourg CID.

8. Petit Gabriel – Alleged Serious Assault
On 21.05.2012 at 1615 hrs, Mr. E, 38 yrs, residing at Petite Butte reported that earlier he came across his 42-yr-old sister, Mrs. Rosinette Chevery, residing at Montagne Fanal with injuries lying unconscious at Le Chou. Latter is admitted to Queen Elizabeth Hopsital. No statement yet recorded from victim. State of health is serious.

Miscellaneous
9.Port Police – Dead Body (Seaman)
On 21.05.2012 at 1510 hrs, Mr. S, 52 yrs of Ukraine National, Master of Merchant Vessel ‘Navios Melodia’, reported that on 16.05.12, whilst underway on high seas from Singapore to Sierra Leone one of his 21 crew members, Avelino Jr Cruz Mata, 48 yrs, seaman, of Filipino National passed away. According to the master who is also a medical officer, the seaman was suffering from high blood pressure and fever. Body is lying at PMOC Mortuary pending autopsy. No foul play suspected so far.

2. (i) D, 39 yrs, cook and (ii) P, 19 yrs, skipper, both residing at Bambous for Rogue and Vagabond to wit for having been found misbehaving on the public road along Royal Road Bambous. (Bambous Police).
